Select DXP component version number in Matrix

When a DXP component is updated, the only way to use that component is to remove the existing component and then replace it. This creates a great deal of work for content editors. It would be great to select the version that you want to use inside Matrix.

Hi Matt Swann,
You can control the "editable" versions that can be used from the Component Service part of the DXP Console for each individual component. There's the "Which versions can editors add to page?" setting, and if you choose "Specific versions", it will give you a dropdown of available versions, and you can select one or more possible versions.
Once you do that, when adding the component to a Content Page in Matrix, you will see a interface for selecting the version you want.
Hopefully that achieves the behaviour you're looking for.
